Can YOU ring the SCHOOL bell ??

The ceilings slump low , plaster has peeled off , doors broken , windows shattered ,without electricity - classrooms look like the inside of a cave , this is not the site of an earthquake , but the state of the public schools all across the country. The only bright side being ,the laughter and chitter-chatter of the young kids within these classrooms whose energy and enthusiasm to learn and play more than makes up for the dilapidated state of infrastructure in these schools. Supposed to be temple of learning , the learning outcomes in these schools are abysmal. Though having a great school infrastructure is not sufficient to improve the quality of education , it  is a necessary condition.


YOU Can Be The Change

How many times have you heard people around you saying , "Nothing can be done about these schools " , and you had nodded your head in agreement , but still had the belief that things can be improved.

What is it , that is holding back folks like YOU, in working to transform these schools into temple of learning ??
Is it,
Lack of clarity on where schools are located and what are the issues plaguing them??
Lack of time and energy to change things around ??

To bridge these gaps between YOU and the schools, which shout for change , we at TeachToTransformIndia (www.teachtotransformindia.com) -T2TI, are in mission mode now, to ensure that every public school in the city of Bengaluru , have an account on this web portal. Representatives from school can then provide real-time information about the infrastructure issues and upload requirements such as basic stationaries required, devices needed to digitize the schools , value added sessions needed to broaden the horizons of young minds.


MAKE A DIFFERENCE NOW


If YOU want to be a foot-soldier , who likes to meet representatives from different schools , understand their issues and needs  and guide them in filling the on boarding form, do sign up to be a volunteer at TeachToTransformIndia ( http://www.teachtotransformindia.com/contact).

Else, you can choose to contribute to the various requests raised by the school representatives. The contributions can be of any of the following types:-

1. Commodities to improve the infrastructure of the schools such as water purifiers, toilets, etc..,

 2. Stationaries such as books , bags, pencils , eraser , etc.,

3. Digital devices (used/new) such as monitors, CPU, projector, mouse , keyboard, etc…,

   You can either take the lead to deliver/install these commodities in the school of your choice or the T2TI team will collect it from you and then complete the installation.

      4. Pay for services such as internet, magazines, newspaper. Since TeachToTransformIndia, does not accept monetary contributions directly, contributors can pay the bill amount to the service provider directly, the details of which will be shared on the portal.

      5. Value Added curriculum or events such as sessions on personal hygiene , environmental awareness , art/quiz/dance contests , etc...
   
       If the school for which you have signed up to conduct the session is digitally equipped , you can choose to take the session virtually else you would be required to conduct the session in-person.

WEEKEND ESCAPADE TO COORG.....BREAK THE MONOTONY!!!!!

As the mercury took an upward swing across NAMMA BENGALURU ,the only plausible solution to beat the fierce heat was to hit the road and travel to cooler destinations...Left to choose between Thekkady-Munnar and Coorg ,we decided to visit the latter(given its proximity to Bengaluru!!!).
